Last night after hanging out with Lisa, her sister, and sister’s boyfriend Joe at Aeronaut Brewery in Somerville, MA. They ate at Craigie on Main (reviewed here) without me, because I still needed to complete my marathon training run for the day. It strikes me how pursuing a goals, like running a marathon, requires sacrifice. From Lisa’s account of the meal, I missed a good one.
“I am struck by how, except when you’re young, you really need to prioritize in life, figuring out in what order you should divide up your time and energy. If you don’t get that sort of system set by a certain age, you’ll lack focus and your life will be out of balance.”
― Haruki Murakami, What I Talk About When I Talk About Running
