Stop Procrastinating Now

We all procrastinate. No one can possibly do everything at once. I saw this video the other day about how to manage a tendency to procrastinate. I just used the tactic to stop myself cold.

See what I’m talking about here:

Do you have any techniques you find useful?

  1. For me, the best way to thwart myself in procrastination is to do as much of the planning in advance as possible. That way I can’t use lining my ducks up as a reason not to start. For me it’s the starting I tend to push off as opposed to continuing work on a project. I love the basic behavior modification he offers, very smart.

    1. Thank you Ciara! I couldn’t agree more. I think you have a good point though, planning out what needs to be done and creating tasks lists is a great way to address the problem. A great book I’ve come across in my reading on the topic is called “Getting Things Done: The Art of Stress Free Productivity” by David Allen. Lisa and I would suggest you borrow it from your local library. If you prefer an electronic version it appears you can find a free PDF here:

Thank you for commenting. I added your site to my follow list.
